Three living specimens of Protobothrops cornutus were discovered in Guangdong Tianjingshan Forest in the duration of April and July 2009. It’s the second time to locate P. cornutus in China. This finding has confirmed the natural existence of P. cornutus in China,and it provides important information on the morphology and distribution of this species.
